SIx aricraft were detailed to take part in the above operations, of which three returned early, one with faulty compass, one oving to R/T, beeing unserviceable and the third with one engine feathered. The remaining three successfully located their DZ, received reception and dropped their loads. At take off weather was very poor at Base. There beeing low cloud and rain. Weather improved considerably towards the Norwegian coast, and was perefect in the dropping zone area anf also on the return trip to Kinloss, to which aircraft had been diverted before take off oving to doubtful weather conditions at base. Enemy opposition throughabout the trip was neglibible. Two of aircraft returned to base the afternoon, the other aircraft requiring engine change.
