- Five aircraft was detailed to take part in the above operations. Weather was very poor at take-off with low cloud. Rain showers were also encountered over the sea. Weather improved towards the Norwegian coast and was good in the dropping zone area. All aircraft sucessfully located their dropping zones and delievered their loads. Weather was good on the return trip and all aircraft reached Base sucessfully. Slight oposition from AA Fire was encountered, two enemy fighters were seeen by our aircraft and two of our aircraft was attacked, but in both cases the attackers was shaken off, althroug one of our aircraft suffered slght damage.
- F/O Middleton had a very quiet trip and dropped his full load. He reported no enemy activity of any kind. Route: Out Lorungen 0209 - 8000' - Inwards; Jomfruland 0357, 9000'. After dropping and beyond the next hill we saw a lightening system of red, hvite and red lights in line and assumed this to be the extension of the flashing letter and 1 red on which we dropped.
